Damascus denim hatchet

£729.00

This hatchet was made from 3 pairs of denim trousers, a light and medium blue along with a black. Through the use of epoxy infusion I was able to connect and solidify the many layers of denim.

Over the course of 3 weeks I turned these old trousers into a fully functional axe. This handle has the potential to be stronger than normal wood. Wood when cut thin has a bend before snapping. Epoxy on its own is strong but ridged, denim is very flexible and does not snap. So by combining these two you have the strength of epoxy and the snap resistance of denim
